CAMPUS

The Institution spread over 100 acres land bout 30 km from Hyderabad & Secunderabad. There is a conscious effort to promote greenery. The sprawling campus of SMCET amidst such serene environment is highly conducive for academic pursuit.

SMCET is accredited by National Board of Accreditation(NBA) & approved by AICTE and affiliated to JNT University.

The College began its journey with 3 Under-graduate programmes with an intake of 180 students in 2001 grew to 4 Under-graduate courses with 7 sections and 4 Post-graduate courses with a total intake of 681 students by the year 2007. Now it stands as a reputed Institute of Engineering & Technology in this region.

Achievements

  • G. Karthik Naveen Chandra (05D01A0209) Participated in the Country’s Robotic Championship ‘ROBOCON 2008’. Successfully constructed 3 functional autonomous & one manually operated robot. The show was broadcasted and aired by DD Marathi and other National News Channels.

  • Won Best Design Award in the event ‘GATI’[Robot Race manually controlled] held at Sree Nidhi Institute of Science & Technology in Aug 2007.

  • Constructed Infra Red based obstacle Robot for the event ‘Mission Mars’ held at IIT – Chennai in Oct,2007 .

  • Participated in Robo Relay event in ROBOTIX, during KSHITIJ’08.

  • R. Sridivya has presented working model on Robot to Run Load in SRUJANA a State Level Project Exhibition cum Competition organised by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Seva Samithi, held from 15th – 18th March 2007.

  • M.K.Arjun has participated in the event SNOOP DOGS, AUTOMISED MINDS during APOGEE 2008 (A Professions Oriented Gathering over Educational Experience), held at the Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani from 11th to 15th of March,2008.
