Computer Labs  


 TRR provides the latest hardware and software infrastructure to cater to the computing needs of all the students and training needs of computer science and related programs. The Institution is equipped with powerful servers and multiple terminals with multiple operating systems enabling a client-server environment. The students are guided by well experienced faculty to handle the computer labs. Leased internet is available to undertake research activities.


 Library

TRR Institutions have a well-stocked library containing reference material, Indian and International books and magazines. TRR subscribes to industry information database to make available large research resources and publications with search facilities to students and faculty. In addition the library contains directories, industry reports and statistical compilations that provide timely and concise information for project works. Library facility is open to all students and faculty members and is continuously updated with latest books and journals under the supervision and advice of the library committee.

Academics

 Laboratories  




A central workshop with various machine tools and equipment including CNC machine supports hands-on training in various areas of workshop practices.Laboratories, such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Digital Electronics, Microprocessors, Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Instrumentation, provide facilities for the students of all disciplines to    acquire skills for the measurement of various parameters in science and technology.

Biotechnology labs have facilities such as Laminar flow setup, UV Visible Spectrophotometer, AAS Spectrophotometer, HPLC – Gas Chromatography, FTIR Spectrophotometer, Refrigerated Centrifuge and other apparatus with appropriate spaces earmarked for testing, culturing, inoculation, etc.

Electrical & Electronics department has laboratories in the areas of Electrical Machines, Power Electronics, Microprocessors, RF & Microwave Engineering, VLSI CAD Lab, Communication Systems, Digital Electronics, Electronic Devices and Circuits etc. The RF & Microwave engineering laboratory is equipped to make measurements of power, frequency, SWR, return loss and insertion loss, etc.

VLSI-CAD lab is a state-of-the art laboratory and is equipped with the latest versions of EDA software tools both in the front end (FPGA advantage and XILinx ISE Foundation series) and the back end (Tanner Tools Pro Complete package).

Students also learn AutoCAD package and Programming on CNC machines as part of the course work. Further, in collaboration with likeminded industries.

TRR likes to set-up research centers and take an active part in research activities that benefit industries.

SAP Training

The institution has tie up with SAP authorized training which help students to match up global standards.

Workshops

Workshops with various machine tools and equipment, including a CNC machine, allows students to gain hands-on training in various areas of workshop practices.



Hostel

Information Technology skills are essential for engineers to succeed in today's information technology-intensive environment. All students have access to well-equipped computer labs for doing their coursework in IT. In addition, every student is provided with a laptop computer.

Projects attempt to bridge the gap between the professional world and academic institutions. They help the students to develop practical work skills.


Evaluation


Student performance in each course will be assessed by means of continuous and internal evaluation throughout the semester. Students will be evaluated and grades are given on the basis of assignments, seminars, projects, various tests, quizzes and a final examination conducted every semester.

The spacious hostel building has 20,000 sq. ft. constructed area for each of the three floors to accommodate 200 students.

Our students have the special privilege of enjoying college transport from every nook and corner of the twin cities.Eighteen buses ply on working days towards college from various points.

PROJECTS AND PLACEMENTS

The academic year 2007 - 2008 is one of the most promising years as far as the placement activity is concerned. It has been an eventful year in terms of training and placement. Students Of NIZAM attended various placement Missions and selected companies like Satyam, Zen Technologies and Infosys. The college is providing informational seminars which have been great motivating and attitude development sessions for the students.

The results have been great with good figures from the 2009 batch being selected into various organizations.

The students are provided training in Aptitude, Reasoning, English – Spoken and Written communication Skills by inviting expert trainers from professional training organizations. An internal training team for the JKC to ensure that regular training is in process in the campus.

NIZAM is associated with the NICCO venture and other consultancies which is to provide good placements, training sessions and organized a pre-recruitment workshop for students.

The college is in the process of creating long term associations with some of the major MNC’s for initiating on the campus training and is in process of creating facilities for the initiative. Faculty Development Activity is also a regular feature at the campus. Faculty from various departments have been trained by Organizations like IEG, Oracle, Globarena.

INFRASTRUCTURE

NIZAM is well equipped with facilities that cater to both, the educational and extra-curricular needs of the students. Library

The library is fully equipped to cater requirements of 1700 students with total 28,500 books and by the end of the semester the figure will touch 30,000. We subscribe 100 National and International Journals and Magazines every year. Apart from the Central Library, departmental libraries are also maintained by the concerned Heads of the Departments. Each department has books for ready reference for the
faculty members. The library is being upgraded on the lines of accreditation and standard is being maintained accordingly.

CHAIRMAN

Mr. Mohd. Jafer, Founder Chairman, Ummul Qura Education Society is a man of strong conviction and deep dedication. A philanthropist and a man of action, willing to work for the cause of humanity, Mr. Jafer has been running several colleges in various fields of academics like Engineering, Computer Sciences, Business Management, Pharmacy and Hotel Management.

Mr. Jafer envisioned many education centers in the city. During his association with archaic educational societies like Minhajush Sharqia Educational Society and Islamia Educational Society as secretary, he desired to start an educational institution of his own to serve the mankind with both values and education.


Mr. Jafer, through his association and experience with many organizations, was inspired to start an education society. While being associated with Nizam Club for more than two decades, he acquired considerable expertise in hospitality industry. This expertise was of great help when he set up Regency College of Hotel Management and Catering Technology. An urge for intellectual nation compelled him to bring in Nizam Institute of Business Management and Nizam Institute of Computer Sciences and accomplished his dream of future managers and software professionals.


His passion for excellence in education is reflected in the uncompromising standards he maintains in imparting education. Going a step ahead in fulfilling his dream of providing education in all streams Nizam Group of Institutions was set up, which include NIET at Deshmukhi in a serene setup, followed by Nizam Institute of Pharmacy and later NIET Departments of MBA and MCA.

NIZAM INSTITUTE OF PHARMACY

Ummul Qura Education Society’s continuing effort to open up educational opportunities to minority sector has prompted toestablish Nizam Institute of Pharmacy in 2005.

The Nizam Institute of Pharmacy (NIP) has been established in the same campus of Nizam Institute of Engineering and Technology, after obtaining the approval from AICTE, necessary sanctions from the Government of AP and under affiliation to JNTU.

The Academic year started in 2005 for academic year 2005-2006 with 60 intakes sanctioned by AICTE.

100% admission process has been completed in the very first year.

v AICTE insists on using the “Innovative Practices” by Technical Institutions consisting of 3 categories like “Best Practices, Progressive Practices and Other Practices” with 36 parameters. While the group institutions, Nizam Institute of Engineering and Technology has been, categorized by AICTE as one of the 18 colleges in AP under “Best Management Practices” category by way of adopting these practices as per the guidelines of NIPS, the same is being practiced from the very beginning in this institution too.

The Academic Building consists of well-ventilated and lighted classrooms equipped with Audio Visual aids for teaching like OHP, LCD, Laboratories, Computer Centers, Seminar Hall, Library, Ladies lounge, Faculty room, Conference room and so on.

Other amenities like Canteen and Indoor Games are situated outside the main building in the same campus. The students are availing of these facilities in the campus.

Pharmacy is the art of science of preparing and dispensing medication and the provision of drug and related information to the public. It involves the interpretation of prescription order; the compounding, labeling and dispensing of drugs and devices. Drug product selection and drug utilization review, the responsibility for the patient monitoring and intervention and the provision of cognitive services.

The report of the commission of Pharmacy, titled Pharmacist for the Future and often referred to as the Millis Report, states “.. that the pharmacy should be conceived basically as a knowledge system which renders a health service by concerning it self with understanding drugs and their effects.” It is the profession responsible for the appropriate use of medication, devices and services in order to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes. Pharmaceutical care is a necessary element of total health care.

A pharmacist, then, is one who is educated and licensed to dispense drugs and to provide drug information- an expert on drugs. He is the most accessible member of today’s health care team, and often the first source of assistance and advice on many common ailments and health care matters.

Education:

Currently there is a professional degree course in Pharmacy, B.Pharmacy course curriculum usually require 4 academic years in order to complete the degree requirements.

Professional courses: Basic to most pharmacy courses are in Pharmacology, Medicinal chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics and the Clinical-Pharmacy externships. Courses in pharmacy law and pharmacy business administration also are found in this sequence.



Opportunities for under graduate students to specialize/minor in certain professional areas have become more available and increasingly popular. Most prominent are hospital/institutional pharmacy, radio-pharmacy, cosmetic science, management, health psychology and research.
